Heidi is back for a second semester to continue research in determining the effect of nanoparticle contamination of Legionella pneumophila bacteria on amoebae feeding.

Chrissie Schalkoff, High School Senior. Chrissie joined our lab to complete her high school honors research project. For this project she is investigating the toxicity of gold and platinum nanoparticles to the environmental amoebae Acanthamoebae polyphaga.
