Sarah Dusenbury, senior, Microbiology Biomedicine.

Sarah has just joined our lab and is beginning a project to investigate microbial biofilms in cooling towers.

Mary Caroline Saleeby, senior, Animal Science Major, Microbiology minor
Mary Caroline is in her third semester of independent research and is investigating how nanoparticles alter biofilm morphology of various bacteria.

 

Kendall Headden, sophomore, Biological Sciences Major
Kendall is in her third semester of helping us investigate the effects of nanoparticles on growth and viability of various bacterial pathogens.

 

Cassie Horton, sophomore, Microbiology Major
Cassie is in her third semester in the lab and is investigating how nanoparticles alter bacteria-amoebae interactions.

 

Brittany Hall, senior, Microbiology.
Brittany is returning for her final semester and is working to analyze the effects of various bacterial biofilms when used as a food source on the fitness of Culex mosquitoes. Brittany has received an honors grant from the Calhoun Honors College for the last two semesters of her research!
